What can we learn from this leader (Adolf Hitler)?
A great vision espoused and supported by a leader can both unite people and led them to achieve it.
Make sure the vision is communicated regularly to the followers so it is well understood and reinforced
To be successful as a “visionary leader” and change organisations you must believe in the vision and just espouse one when appropriate.
Symbols are very important tool of leadership and can unite and inspire followers
Charisma is a very powerful tool for a leader and can compensate for other faults in your leadership
It is beneficial to have both a private and public side to your personality if you can do it believably
Never forget where your support base is and stay in touch with it overtime.
Mix with as many different people as you can to broaden your experiences and knowledge of your community and society
Power bases within your organisation are important. Make sure you are aware of them and utilise these where possible.
Ensure you address people both privately and publicly in a way which is familiar to them and at an appropriate level for the audience
Messages can be very powerful when in a written form. Ensure your organisation is informed and updated on the vision, company progress etc at regular intervals.
The ability to speak effectively in public is an important asset for any leader. An effort should be made to improve this overtime and practiced when possible
Using facts to support your argument can add considerably to the validity of your presentation or stance on a particular subject
Leaders take responsibility for their actions, Hitler did not. As the war was being lost he withdrew from public and blamed everyone around him from his Generals to the German People themselves.
